Will you be a graduating High School Senior in 2023 and looking to further your education in healthcare?

Amery Hospital & Clinic (AHC) will be providing 3 graduating High School Seniors a multi-year, educational sponsorship opportunity that will assist in subsidizing the cost of tuition, books and academic fees. For eligibility criteria please see below. The funds awarded will be paid directly to the institution upon proof of enrollment for each semester. AHC will also work with the student and institution to try to place students at AHC for any clinical rotations required by the program, but this is not guaranteed. As part of the sponsorship program the student will be required to complete a defined period of employment with AHC after graduation or repay the funds received.

What programs are eligible for the sponsorship?

There are several levels of sponsorship available which is dependent on the educational program the student is attending:

Programs Eligible for 100% Sponsorship

• Certified Nursing Assistant

Programs Eligible for $2,000/Semester with a maximum of $4,000 over the life of the program

• Certified Medical Assistant

Programs Eligible for $2,500/Semester with a maximum of $10,000 over the life of the program

• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
• Radiologic Technologist (X-ray and CT Tech)
• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Surgery Technician (CST)
• Respiratory Therapist (RT)
• Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
• Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA)

What criteria needs to be met to receive the sponsorship?
First year sponsorship requires the student to be enrolled full-time in an approved program for the 2023 – 2024 academic year. Proof of enrollment must be presented to AHC for sponsorship funds to be paid to the institution.
Second year sponsorship requires the student to provide proof of successful completion of 24 (or more) credits during the 2023-2024 academic year, a minimum GPA of 2.5 and enrollment for the 2024-2025 academic year.
If the student is not able to meet these criteria, they will be asked to re-pay the funds received.
Following graduation from the student’s chosen program, they will have a job opportunity waiting for them at AHC. There will be a predetermined amount of time for which the student must maintain full-time employment or pay back funds received through the sponsorship program.
How do I apply and what does the application process entail?
Students should apply to AHC through this job posting. During the application the student will be asked to upload a copy of their current resume, this is a requirement of the application process. In addition, students are required to upload their answers to the following questions:

• Which of the eligible programs are you enrolling in for the 2023-2024 academic year? Based on your research around that program, what intrigues you the most about that career and where do you see yourself taking it in the future?
• What about Amery Hospital & Clinic piques your interest?

Applications will be accepted until March 5th, 2023. Once applications have been reviewed, students selected for the next step will be asked to complete an interview with the program related AHC Leader. After the interview process, AHC will select 3 students to receive the sponsorship funds. Students will be notified the beginning of May if they are selected or not.
