Job Description :

Cart-Away Concrete Systems, an equipment manufacturer on a rapid growth trajectory, is currently seeking an Accountant/Operations Manager who will be a key member of the Executive Management team. The position will report to the President and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company’s financials and operations. The Accountant/Operations Manager will have a background in accounting with day-to-day responsibility for planning, controlling, and managing all financial and production activities of the company.

Job Responsibilities Accounting:

  • Ensures timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
  • Develops and maintains budgets for operations
  • Prepares and presents financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial documentation.
  • Provides executive management with recommendations on the financial implications of business operations and activities.
  • Interface with tax advisors to advance company goals and objectives.
  • Manages bookkeeping and finance staff to ensure accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the accurate processing of sales orders for customers.
  • Ensures the accurate posting to the general ledger, reconciliation of accounts, bank reconciliation, cash management, and tracking of capital assets and depreciation.

Job Responsibilities Operations:

  • Provides leadership over production activities.
  • Overseas purchasing and vendor relationships.
  • Provides timely and accurate reporting of operational metrics and key performance indicators to the sales team, the general manager, and executive leadership.
  • Leads efforts to refine and implement profitability management processes, including utilization metrics and expense control.
  • Identifies operational roadblocks in advance and adjusts accordingly to successfully achieve objectives on time.

Qualifications

Required Responsibilities:

  • Leadership ability.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Strong proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Fishbowl and/or other inventory/point-of-sale software.

Education and Experience:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA, MFA and/or CPA highly desirable
  • 3-5+ years in progressively responsible financial and accounting duties, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industries.
  • CPA preferred with a strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
