POSITION SUMMARY

The Strategic Assistant monitors and administers the Owners of the company’s activities, ensuring that various projects (high emphasis on marketing), requests, information, and events are prioritized, organized, and communicated to maximize the owner’s efficiency and effectiveness.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This person will be the executive assistant to the owner, assisting in all administrative duties and a strong emphasis in helping with marketing assignments.
  • Position includes managing the company owner's highly complex and busy schedule, digital organizing, project management assisting, filing, spreadsheet input, and writing executive summaries, emails, and reports for the owner.
  • Main person creating minutes and follow-up emails for the owners’ meetings.
  • Main person scheduling, preparing for and following up on all company meetings and assignments attended by the owner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • An associate degree (preferred)
  • Marketing experience or college/university courses (highly desired)
  • Experience supporting business owners and working in a high-paced office.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with the business owner, internal employees, and external vendors.
  • Experience in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in working autonomously, using discretion as appropriate.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining confidential information.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, Excel (4 yrs. minimum), PowerPoint (2 yrs. minimum).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong editing/grammar/punctuation skills.
  • Typing speed of 50 words x min.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Santa Barbara, CA 93105: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Microsoft Powerpoint: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Marketing: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Excel: 3 years (Preferred)
