This role represents a primary and critical support element to the efficient and effective operations of the Office of the CEO of OPPD. This role is viewed and expected to act as the right hand of the CEO. Maintaining a strategic understanding of the CEO’s and company priorities, anticipating and resolving issues on behalf of the CEO to ensure their time is focused and optimally used for the benefit of the company. This role will need to be able to navigate and effectively engage with a wide array of contacts (both internally and externally) to support the CEO’s time management, relationship building, and to ensure that the right levels of issues are escalated appropriately, delegated to the correct resources or independently resolved through their own levels of authority. This role represents a trusted advisor to the CEO and must, in essence, represent the brand and executive presence of the Office of the CEO. The level of interaction and transparency between this role and the CEO will require the highest levels of trust, loyalty, confidentiality and discretion to ensure an effective working relationship. On occasion, provide defined administrative duties for members of the OPPD Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Lastly, this role will represent the starting point for individuals to work with prior to engaging directly with the CEO. This partnership will ensure the CEO’s time, energy and focus is intentionally aligned with the priorities driving the long term success and prosperity of OPPD.
Time Management Optimization: Maintain a comprehensive/holistic understanding of the CEO’s schedule. Anticipate & ensure scheduled events (Daily/Weekly/Monthly…) optimize the use of the CEO’ working time to the fullest extent while safeguarding moments/blocks for effective preparation, reflection, and intentional down time.
Preparation and Context: Ensure the CEO is effectively prepared for scheduled events. Prepare materials, present summary descriptions & Q&A with the CEO to ensure their ability to engage effectively with upcoming/scheduled events.
Leadership Team Coordination: Coordinate the CEO and ELT management routines.
CEO Messaging/Communications Advisor: Provide a trusted quality assurance filter and help refine content, narrative, etc. to ensure the CEO is always delivering a congruent messaging.
Stakeholder/Network Management: Support the CEO in the establishment and maintenance of strong personal and professional relationships across a broad network of internal and external colleagues, stakeholders, employees, etc…
Proactive Problem Resolution: Independently identify and initiate actions to support the resolution of issues or roadblocks to CEO’s plans.
Administrative Assistance: Perform duties necessary for maintaining the Office of the CEO.
