GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The AV Systems/Software Engineer is instrumental in development of new embedded systems products (switching, control, transmission...), software and systems for the TEKVOX Drop-In AV product line. This is a product development position - suitable background required. This is not a web development position.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This engineer will play a broad role in the Company's Drop-In AV® technology development and deployment. Roles include but are not limited to driving definition & development (ODM) of new audio -visual switching and transmission equipment, control systems (OEM), extending current control software and developing new capabilities, leading the development of new Drop-In systems and supporting field deployment where needed.

MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include product validation, control system programing, audio system programming, collaboration with enterprise and user-experience developers, primary technical interface to our off-shore design house, training of company engineers and collaboration with integration partners and end-customers.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Education:

BSEE, BSCS or similar engineering or comp-sci degree

Experience:

10 or more years relevant experience, at least 3 with a manufacturer
Significant AV control systems programming
Extensive knowledge of HDMI and related video transmission standards
Experience programming digital system processors (DSPs) and commissioning audio systems
Ability to do hands-on engineering projects

Other:

Technical writing of specifications and plans
This role cannot be done 100% remotely
