Calders Coffee Café is an independent coffee café in Highlands, NC. We serve shade-grown, fair-trade, specialty-grade, organic coffee and traditional coffee house fare. We are looking for customer service crew members. We're fun (just ask us) and have full-time, part-time, and seasonal opportunities available.

Essential Functions

• Greet customers and take orders
• Process cash, credit card, and gift card transactions (iPad POS device)
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages according to Calders standards and customer requests
• Serve prepared food items
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and retail items to effectively advise customers
• Set up and break down workstations, including cleaning and sanitizing
• Maintain café appearance, ensuring product is stocked to appropriate levels and all areas are properly cleaned and sanitized
• Adheres to food and workplace safety policies and procedures
• Maintains a positive attitude towards customers, clients, co-workers, suppliers, and the community
• Ensures security of company assets
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications

• Sense of humor and ability to work well with others in a face-paced environment.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrates organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 25 lbs'

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
