Bookkeeper

Walpole & Co., LLP is seeking a Bookkeeper to help assist with the day-to-day accounting requirements for our bookkeeping department. Reliability, excellent organization skills, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as outstanding customer service including the ability to communicate clearly. This individual is responsible for handling tasks such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, payroll taxes and sales tax.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable: Entering and paying vendor invoices.
• Accounts Receivable: Entering deposits and managing receipts.
• Processing Client Payrolls
• Preparing and submitting Payroll Taxes
• Preparing and submitting Sales Tax

Desired Qualifications:

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience or Associates Degree
• Knowledge of accounting concepts and transactions.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Commitment to a long-term position as a full-time bookkeeper.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• QuickBooks experience is a plus.
