Job Description :
We are currently seeking an individual for the Controls & Automation Engineer position with our Operations Service & Support department located at our corporate office in Nashville, TN. This position will report directly to the Director of Engineering. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
Job Summary
This position will be responsible for the design and maintenance of aggregate processing and asphalt plant controls systems. The person who accepts this assignment will be responsible for meeting the challenge of growth-oriented assignments and interacting with a wide-range of people ranging from plant personnel to external agencies, and contractors. This position will require a minimum of 30% overnight travel.
Essential Functions
- On-Site PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance using Siemens and AB control software
- HMI integration
- Providing detailed drawings of control systems and logic
- Assisting in the coordination of outside electrical and controls services
- Scheduling work to meet completion dates
- Drafting technical specifications and functional requirements
- May be called upon at the discretion of management to perform other duties not listed
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of related controls/automation experience required and minimum 2 years of practical work experience required
- Minimum 3 years of aggregate industry (or comparable processing industry) experience preferred
- Must have working knowledge of process flows and interlocking in processing plants or related field
- Must have programming experience in Siemens and Allen Bradly automation software
- Working knowledge of MS Windows systems (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)
- Ability to analyze production processes and identify enhancements that eliminate bottlenecks and increase efficiency
