Unlimited Potential Counseling & Education Center is a neurodiversity-affirming mental health practice specializing in supporting children, teens, and families. We are seeking a motivated therapist (Psychologist, LPC, LMFT, or LCSW) to provide mental health services for our clients. Our office provides individual therapy, play therapy, and tele-mental health counseling. We embrace a strengths-based approach to helping all of our clients feel comfortable being their authentic selves.

The ideal candidate for this job will:

• Establish supportive and positive relationships with both clients, clients’ families, and other medical and educational professionals in the community.
• Have established (or be willing to seek) credentialing through one or more insurance panels to cover client services.
• Have excellent verbal and written language skills.
• Be comfortable working with technology used for scheduling, EHR, and other common software and online productivity tools.
• Innovate and pursue creative opportunities to promote and market their specialized services in the community.
• Be able to effectively collaborate and advocate with schools to support clients with Section 504 Plans and Individualized Education Plans.
• Have an area of specialization that complements our staff (such as a specific population or training/certification for treatment modality)
• Be prepared for the unique challenges and opportunities of private practice.

Requirements:

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or Clinical/Counseling Psychology
• Licensed to provide therapeutic services in Missouri
• Experience working with children and teens in a therapeutic (or related) setting.
• Availability to work evening and/or weekend hours to meet with clients outside of traditional school and work hours
• Play therapy training and/or ability to work with pre-school/early elementary-aged children a plus!
