POSITION SUMMARY:

The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering, loading, and unloading merchandise, according to the customer's loading slip, while keeping Safety as the #1 priority in the day to day routine.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Delivers merchandise for customers at Construction sites, personal homes, farms, etc.
• Receives, records, and routes customer orders/changes in appropriate

manner * Effectively communicates customer issues and concerns to all applicable internal staff members

• Loads materials into vehicles or trailers, and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand-tools as necessary.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand
• May operate forklift or industrial truck to assist in loading, unloading, or moving merchandise and material
• Adhere to Loss Prevention, inventory control, and compliance procedures
• Safety awareness of anything in store that may be hazard to employees or customers
• Additional duties, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS $ QUALIFICATIONS:

• Class B with Air Brakes (or Class A)
• 2 years’ experience driving with a CDL is required
• Ability to:

o Effectively communicate with customers, in-person and over the phone

o Demonstrate initiative and effective problem-solving skills within the scope of the position

o Work in a fast-paced environment

o Communicate with members of management and co-workers

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
