Position Summary: The General Utility Worker (Dishwasher) is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, plastic glass ware, kitchen utensils and equipment in a clean and sanitized condition. This job requires that the employee keep the dishwashing machine, three compartment sink and related areas clean. In addition, the individual may perform other serviceable duties as assigned. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Essential Functions:
Rinse, scrub and process all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, plastic glass ware, kitchen utensils and equipment through dish machine or three compartment sink, making sure all items are free of food and debris and properly sanitized.

Pick up soiled pots, pans and utensils throughout kitchen and stations to be taken to dish or pot room for cleaning.

Operate the dishwasher to clean and sanitize the appropriate equipment.

Preserve the cleanliness of tools, equipment, carts, and other areas/items as directed by lead/manager on duty

Sweep and mop all areas of the kitchen, storage areas, restrooms, and anywhere else that guests and/or employees may walk.

Dispose of all trash and other waste materials including boxes in food production areas using approved methods.

Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, coworkers, etc.

Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation Ensures security of company assets

Report safety hazards discovered in the location to management immediately Attend pre-service huddles as scheduled by the lead/manager on duty.

Able to stand for extended periods of time
Able to work in an environment that can be hot and humid at times
Demonstrate an understanding of basic sanitation procedures
Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals and cleaning supplies
Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time and in uniform
Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs
