Summary

The Engineering Project Specialist creates, edits, and oversees the generation of technical documentation, to include Interface Control Documents, 2D and 3D drawings, and test reports.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·· Create drawings, interface control documents, and other derivative documents from 3D models

· Assist in the preparation of technical reports for system design, verification and validation, and other technical reviews

· Participate in design reviews and verification/validation reviews of other engineers’ designs

· Act as owner of the Product Design Documentation process

· Obtain/maintain a thorough understanding of relevant ISO9001:2015 requirements

· Carry out duties in a manner consistent with Sierra-Olympic’s values

Qualifications

Required

· · BS in Mechanical engineering or similar combination of education and experience

· Experience with 2D/3D modeling software

· Familiar with GD&T, Product Lifecycle Management, and technical documentation

· Ability to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines

Preferred

· · Solidworks, PDXpert, and MadCap Flare experience

· Experience with optical systems, with a preference for infrared optical systems

· Experience working within an organization with a quality management system
