The Center for Human Development seeks to hire a seasoned Grant Writer with experience writing grants on all levels of government. Based in Springfield, MA, CHD is a $140 million organization that provides behavioral health and human services in Western Massachusetts and Connecticut. With an extraordinary 50-year reputation for quality, innovative services, and fiscal stability, CHD employs 1,800 dedicated professional and paraprofessional staff. CHD operates a broad range of third party reimbursed, contract based, and community-supported programs all dedicated to helping people in need.

Reporting to the Director of Grants, the Grant Writer is responsible for identifying relevant grant opportunities and writing/submitting proposals for local, state, and federal government grants, as well as charitable foundation grants. The Grant Writer will work closely with program staff and senior leadership to prepare grant applications and research best practices for program planning that is in keeping with CHD’s strategic priorities.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of grant writing experience. Master’s degree preferred.

Hours: M-F, 8 AM – 4 PM
