Do you have a passion for pets? Dr. Elsey’s, a veterinarian-owned premium pet company is seeking a multi-talented Graphic Designer to join our team. You’ll work on a variety of design projects, including packaging, print collateral and digital ads. This is a full-time, on-site role at our company headquarters in Cheyenne, WY. As a Graphic Designer at Dr. Elsey’s, you will work directly with our Marketing Director and creative agency to create dynamic solutions that meet our company’s unique design challenges.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling design solutions from ideation to execution, applying knowledge and understanding of design principles (composition, typography, color theory, etc.)
• Work within existing art files–make updates to and create iterations of packaging files, print collateral and digital advertisements
• Ability to work directly with print vendors–supply design files and updates, and manage the proofing and approval process
• Ability to organize and maintain our image/assets library, and keep our CMS up to date with new graphics and product info
• Prepare print files–ensure files meet all requirements for delivery
• Regularly collaborate with the Marketing Director, Sales Director, Customer Service Manager and creative agency members, sharing ideas, insights and questions
• Manage priorities with minimal supervision to meet project deadlines

Requirements

• Portfolio of design, packaging and/or relevant work
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe creative software including, but not limited to: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign
• Working knowledge and understanding of packaging design and prepress process
• Strong working knowledge and understanding of composition, typography and color theory with the ability to bring ideas from concept to completion
• 2+ years of relevant design experience or education preferred, but not required
• Prior experience working with packaging design preferred, but not required
• Self-starter with a desire to research and embrace new trends and technology
• Organized, detail-focused and strong communication skills
• Experience with Social Media principles preferred, but not required
