The Human Resources Business Partner will provide high-level expertise, advice, and counsel in areas of Human Resources including leadership coaching, employee engagement, employee relations, compensation, benefits, employment law, unemployment, and performance management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

2. Model and champion our leadership qualities (live Douglas values, chart the course, energize others and raise the bar).
3. Demonstrate a tenacious and disciplined service excellence approach using the “6+1” model (quality, professional courtesy, can-do attitude, responsiveness, convenience and aggressive follow-up).
4. Leads HR initiatives such as coaching managers on engagement, performance management and employee development.
5. Assist in the development of policies and procedures including preparing and maintaining employee handbook.
6. Conduct investigations, document and recommend appropriate actions.
7. Provide oversight to benefit policies and procedures, and related documents as requested.
8. Lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of employee wellbeing initiatives.
9. Manage open enrollment.
10. Prepare and file human resource compliance reporting.
11. Process unemployment claims and represent the company at administrative hearings.
12. Conduct employee exit interviews and make recommendations for improvements.
13. Identify, recommend and implement improvements for areas of responsibility.
14. Participate in the development of department goals, objectives and systems.
15. Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
