• Preparing and updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating
• Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees
• Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed
• Informing job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, schedules, working conditions, promotion opportunities, etc.
• Addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations
• Processing payroll to include time edits, and paid time off benefits.
• Tracking of employee time off requests and benefit accruals
• Preparing employee status change forms and ensuring proper approval
• Overseeing hiring process, which includes coordinating job postings, reviewing resumes, performing reference checks and scheduling pre-employment drug tests and coordinating pre-employment background checks
• Conducting new hire orientation and other training sessions
• Creating and administering on-the-job training programs
• Tracking and monitoring employee performance evaluations
• Creating and monitoring employee award programs and incentive programs
• Overseeing engagement programs and other employee relations and recognition efforts
