Located in Valencia, CA Sunvair is an aerospace leader specializing in landing gear and hydraulic component overhaul supporting multiple airline, military, and OEM platforms. Currently we are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to become a part of our team! You will be required to perform a variety of engineering tasks, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase operation efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Provide support to internal project engineers by assisting with project administrative duties.

Assist with preparation of presentations.

Attend review meetings and record action item tracking worksheets

Assist with developing and managing bills of materials by working with internal Supply Chain team

Assist with reviewing updated specifications, engineering change documentation, or other project data items for applicability to internal processing.

Support assembly, production, and other hardware build activities

Perform or support verification and final inspection activities

Basic Qualifications:

Enrolled in or recently graduated from a four year university, pursuing a BS in mechanical, or aerospace engineering.

Advanced level of Excel and Word skills.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills to support engineering change documentation, updating customer specifications and other functions.

Detail oriented.

A creative and innovative mind

Preferred Qualifications:

MS Project skills

Knowledge of design, simulation, and analysis tools

Experience or familiarity with ERP systems

Previous experience in mechanical engineering or other related fields

Familiarity with manufacturing designs or schematics

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to prioritize and multitask

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
