Member Services Representative – Mill Lacs Energy Cooperative

MLEC is looking for a Member Services Representative to join our team. Staff will be responsible for performing various customer service duties pertaining to the cooperative’s many services.

The position provides assistance to the Billing and Member Services Team.

· Staff will assist Operations with new service requests, gathering and sending required information, creating the account in the billing system scheduling staking appointments and related follow up

· Answer telephone, mail, e-mail and in-house inquiries

· Make payment arrangements, post payments and adjustments

· Complete process for Internet Service Requests including customer inquiries and similar billing duties

· Assist in internet sales

· Assist with account transfers in accordance with Cooperative bylaws and policies

· Process reconnects and disconnects of services

To be successful in the role, applicants need to have a High School diploma or equivalent and advanced training in office related work of at least one year. Applicants must have a valid Minnesota driver’s license. Cooperative or utility industry experience is preferred. Must have strong aptitude in written and verbal communication, proficient computer and key board skills, and Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel and Word. Applicants need to be able to maintain courteous relationships with Cooperative members and be teamwork oriented.
