Phlebotomist (Casual)
Shifts: Casual (Monday - Friday, hours vary between 6 am and 7 pm, no weekends or holidays)
Duties: Functioning as a liaison between laboratory and patients, the phlebotomist performs specimen collection, specimen processing, data entry and limited laboratory testing. Responsible for blood collections, by venipuncture and capillary technique, and non-blood collections from patients of all age groups. Verifies patient identification and properly labels specimens to ensure patient safety. Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in phlebotomy, laboratory, or other healthcare related job preferred.
