Rental Sales Associate
Job Purpose
The Rental Associatet is responsible for supporting the rental and sales efforts for the company by providing call response, written correspondence, filing and other administrative and operational support enabling optimum department performance. Additionally, is responsible for embracing and contributing to the core values, strategic vision, and organizational charter.

Essential Functions

1. Acts as the primary phone answerer of incoming calls and ring backs

2. Assumes all responsibilities of primary/secondary rental clerk (including but not limited to)

a. Handling at majority of rental calls

b. Accurately identifying proper equipment for a customer’s needs and advising customers of those items

c. Identifying and qualifying new Customers for rent, properly entering customer information, and saving credit card on file

d. Setting up and executing rental contracts through all three stages of rental process

e. Accurately handling delivery and pickup documentation and assisting in the hauling schedule process

f. Accurately handle all billing and credit processes.

g. Maintain all rental files

3. Provides prompt and reliable coverage for one of the two main Office Staff schedules including being part of the Saturday office rotation.

4. Maintains all Office filing duties including but not limited to

a. Scanning all Insurance certificates and properly updating customer master records and properly flagging them for use in Rental Module

b. Scanning all exemption certificates and properly identifying and recording them in Point of Sale system

5. Maintains daily Fuel reports

6. Assists the sales and accounting departments as needed to process documents for monthly hard close, update price lists, etc.

7. Participates in the office cleaning rotation, including daily vacuuming, dusting, etc.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This position works in an office environment with routine noise and interruption levels consistent with an office environment.

Physical Demands

This position requires incumbent to sit for long periods, view a computer monitor, and to hear and communicate clearly with a telephone. Additionally, must lift files, boxes, and perform cleaning duties such as dusting and mopping the floors, therefore must stand, move, bend, twist, and lift and carry up 20 pounds.

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work

Full time, Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM with a Saturday Rotation, Hours may fluctuate due to the work load in the Accounting Department.

Travel

No overnight travel is required.

Competencies/Qualifications

1. Energetic, quick learner

2. Good work ethic

3. Has been around equipment, or the rental industry is preferred (not required)

4. Good with computers.

5. Willing to embrace Core Values and Organizational Charter of company.

Required Education and Experience Amount

• High School Diploma
• Basic Math and Accounting knowledge
• Basic Office systems and intermediate level Microsoft Office Product knowledge
• Two years of office operations and administration experience

Preferred Education and Experience Amount

• Two-year College Degree in Business or Accounting or Equivalent years of experience
• Basic chart of account and financial report knowledge
• Basic Rental process knowledge of high value equipment
• At least 4 years of office clerical and customer service experience

No certifications required.
