Sales Representative

Job Summary:

Mayfield Paper Company is on a mission to expand its reach. We aim to become the go-to supplier of a wide variety of products, including janitorial and cleaning supplies, industrial packaging, and food service and office supplies throughout west Texas and eastern New Mexico.

We’re searching for an independent and tenacious Sales Professional to sell our organization’s products and services in and around Hereford, Texas, and Clovis, New Mexico. The successful candidate will enjoy both prospecting for new accounts and providing ongoing support and distribution to established customers as well.

Top performers will easily make up to six figures. Commissions are uncapped and earning potential is virtually unlimited. We’ll start you at a base salary while you build your accounts pipeline. About 20% of our salespersons earn six figures annually.

We need someone who thrives in a sales environment, someone for whom going the extra mile comes naturally. Motivated sales professionals enjoy the hunt, and this candidate must enjoy the building of new relationships while strengthening relationships in existing accounts. The successful candidate will show a knack for creating new relationships and showing prospective customers the clear differentiating value of Mayfield Paper Company’s products and services.

The successful candidate will have a minimum 1 – 3 years of successful outside sales experience selling products and services to management and maintenance personnel in large organizations such as schools, universities, healthcare facilities, or medium- to large-sized companies or enterprises in a competitive market against established vendors. Experience with facility services and products such as maintenance is preferred, but not required.

Whatever your past experience, you must have demonstrated the ability to:

• work independently

• actively listen to the business needs of the prospective customer

• use a consultative selling approach or solution-based selling

• effectively present products and system solutions in a business-to-business environment

• naturally and effectively close a sale

This is a full-time position that requires considerable travel within the assigned area around Hereford, Texas and Clovis, New Mexico. No overnight travel. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the core work hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to demonstrate vacuums and floor equipment for customers.
