The National Tropical Botanical Garden is seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join our team as a Full Time or Casual (less than 20 hrs. per week) Security Person at our South Shore Gardens (Allerton and McBryde).

Primary duties include patrolling the premises, including buildings, grounds, and housing, to detect suspicious activity, assist staff, volunteers and guests, and ensure the safety of all. Additional support services include opening and securing facilities; incident response; and minor maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have prior security experience, valid Hawaii Driver’s license with clear record, and be able to demonstrate sound judgement and the ability to defuse tense situations. Knowledge of South Shore Garden/ HQ complex and operations ideal. Security Certification preferred.
