POSITION OVERVIEW
A Surveillance/Security observer Provides an atmosphere in which all employees know that the company responds to and cares about their safety and security.
**
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
- Provides an atmosphere in which all employees know that the company responds to and cares about their safety and security.
- Communicates in a manner that is open, honest and responsive in all situations; to the extent authorized, provides information regarding the facility and surrounding area as requested by authorized personnel.
- Monitors entrances, exits, warehouse floor, vehicular travel and parking areas.
- Provides video copies of incidents as requested by authorized personnel.
- Prepares logs or reports as required; writes or types reports or enters information in a computer using standard grammar.
- Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to their immediate supervisor, company management, life/safety personnel or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances as required.
- Assists in the installation of surveillance hardware and/or software as directed by the Department Head, Systems Engineer, or Senior Systems Technician.
- Assumes roles in security as needed
