Position Title: Senior Manager of Accounting for Healthcare Operations

Summary/Basic Function:

Manages and maintains accounting and finance functions for assigned physician practices, Medical Foundation, and management service office (MSO) including revenue cycle, collections, general ledger, payroll, sales tax, preparation and commentary of Financial Statements, external audit processes and submissions, as well as various analysis and reporting requirements.

The Senior Manager will also actively partner with the Operations, and other key Collaborative Health Partners teams, on forward-looking analyses of proposed new business. This role provides an opportunity to drive key finance activities, directly support senior leaders, and gain finance experience in scaling a high-growth business.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Professional certification: CPA
• 5-7 years of successful, effective, and progressive experience in leading a team of financial professionals, or three or more years Public Accounting attest, compilation or consulting experience, or combination of two.
• Ability to articulate and defend the unique Christian educational mission and vision of Liberty University and its subsidiaries to a wide variety of individuals and groups.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (financial close, reporting and consolidations, budgeting, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite (particularly Excel) and accounting software (e.g., Banner)
• Well-organized with ability to prioritize.
• Ability to carry out tasks independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Individual must not be in default on any federal student or parent loan
• Individual must not be convicted of, or pled nolo contendere or guilty to, a crime involving the acquisition, use, or expenditure of federal, state, or local government funds, or be administratively or judicially determined to have committed fraud or any other material violation of law involving federal, state, or local government funds (CFR 668.14(b)(18)(i))

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in accounting discipline
• Familiarity with the healthcare industry, specifically physician practice operations reporting, compensation, cost recovery, medical billing and revenue streams.
• Banner and higher education experience
• Fluent in Spanish or American Sign Language
