We are currently seeking Shift Supervisors to join our team at the Whalers General Store - Honua Kai location!

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for assisting the store manager in maintaining a positive environment, which provides fast, efficient and friendly service for both our customers and team members. Shift supervisors work with the store manager and assistant manager for the day-to-day supervision of the front end, overseeing the functioning of the cash registers and supporting equipment, and all duties of the cashiers. Shift supervisors assist in training, customer service, product knowledge and education, encouraging safe work practices, and a demonstrated commitment to our company values. Supervisors set the example for associates and ensures that the standards of excellent customer service under the Company’s World Class Service Program are achieved. This position directly supervises team members and acts as the manager on duty in the absence of the store manager.

Qualifications:

• Minimum one year of retail experience, previous cashier experience preferred.
• High school diploma and/or equivalent experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must have open availability and be able to work overtime, including weekends, evenings and special events as needed.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
• Must be able to lift up to 30lbs and frequently bend and twist from the waist. This position will require frequent standing and use of hands and arms.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess a valid TB Clearance.
