Job Description :

The Project Leader works independently on small to medium sized projects or as part of a larger, more complex project. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall administration, organization and implementation of the project. Experience in running $5-20 million+ electrical construction & renovation projects including normal & emergency power distribution, lighting & lighting control, branch & power feeders and specialty systems. 100% Travel with the Project Location changing every 4 months. The first location will be Columbus, OH.

The Project Leader will:

  • Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
  • Identify change orders and ensuring effective resolution.
  • Price, track and manage all project cost and project monothly updates on all financial aspects of project including change orders.
  • Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses.
  • Maintain as-builts as work is completed.
  • Document project issues/conditions.
  • Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Read and interpret blue prints and project specifications.
  • Research and compile submittals; pricing change orders and prepare estimates for partially designed projects by finishing the design and preparing a complete project estimate.
  • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  • Communicate with people outside the Company, representing the Company to customers, the public, the government, and general contractor representatives.

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree with 7 to 9 years of experience or Master's degree with 5 to 7 years of experience.
  • Experience working on electrical projects ranging from $5M to $20M.
  • Strong construction background required; the candidate's career should be almost entirely time on-site in the field.
  • Data-center background ideal; Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing (a complete building) background preferred. The PM must cover all trades; their superintendent will have an electrical background and can provide that expertise.
  • Experience working with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
  • Experience using sophisticated Project Mgmt, CPM Scheduling, Cost Softwar (Accubid a plus) and AutoCAD software.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints and drawings on electrical projects.
  • Familiar with standard deliverables and work process on projects.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and writing skills and be a problem owner/solver.
  • Proven ability to effectively plan and organize one's own activities or the activities of others.
  • Exceptional MS Excel skills
  • Experience with scheduling (P6, MS Project) a plus
  • Accubid Estimating (Or equivalent) directly related to Electrical Installations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
