The Unarmed Security Officer for Diligence Security Group executes all tasks related to maintaining standards in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures by performing the following duties:

Position Duties:
Responds to unusual or emergency situations at clients site using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established protocol.
Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons. Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process; precludes unauthorized access to facilities, and the conversion, theft or intentional destruction of physical assets.
Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
Monitors entrances and exits; acts to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry; controls entrances, the movement of people and vehicles, and parking.
Has a working knowledge and understanding of the Specific and General Post instructions for all Branch posts; has practical knowledge of all additional and emergency post instructions that are called for by the client.
Observes and reports activities and incidents, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations.
Examines doors, windows, and gates of assigned posts to determine that they are secure. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
Informs the Site/Field Supervisor of matters/issues that cannot wait until the next workday. Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
Prepares logs and reports as required.
Other duties may be assigned.

The Ideal Candidate has the following qualifications:

Education/ Experience:
Valid State Drivers License.
Valid State Security Guard Card License.
Microsoft Office software and working knowledge of Internet programs.
Valid CPR/AED/First Aid Certification, preferred.
Prior Military or Law Enforcement experience, a plus.
Associate's degree or higher in any discipline, a plus.

Effective oral and written communication skills
Fluent in English (written and verbal). Additional languages a plus.
Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
