Job Description :

Lumber Yard outside operations Foreman/Manager.

The Yard Foreman is a supervisory role so the right candidate should have managerial experience, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication skills in order to delegate daily tasks and provide a seemless communication flow between yard personal, office personal, and customers.

Managerial experience is a must as you will be superising 3+ employees on all outside operations of a lumber yard.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to overseeing operations of:

  • Every aspect of outside operations including employees, materials, and equipment
  • Building loads for customer orders and deliveries by hand and/or use of forklift
  • Receiving and unloading lumber and building supplies from vendor trucks
  • Assist customers in the yard by answering questions, loading their vehicles, and locating merchandise
  • Dispatching deliveries
  • Maintaining the inventory counts appearance and overall upkeep of the lumberyard
  • Be an advocate for the yard personnel by reporting any and all safety issues or concerns to management
  • Communication between Customers, Sales staff, and employees

Knowledge of lumber yard operations helpful but not a must, managerial skills, communication skills, organization skills are a must, if you have these skills we can teach you about the lumber industry! Computer experience is a must, we can teach you the programs we use but you must be comfortable using a computer. Come join our hardworking fun environment!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
