Chimney Rock Park is a place to experience and share the natural world with guests from all over the world. We feature the iconic chimney, one of the highest waterfalls east of the Mississippi River, an elevator inside the mountain, trails for all hiking abilities and views that take your breath away.

Working at Chimney Rock Park gives you the opportunity to hike and attend live animal programs as part of your responsibilities. We believe creating elevated experiences is not just about the mountain, but about the connections and memories we make. Many of our team havebeen with us for more than 10 years and share a genuine passion for this incredible place.

These seasonal jobs will begin in early March and generally last through November. You can expect 36-40 hours weekly.

What you bring to the table: Positive can-do attitude, a connectionto the outdoors and a desire to stay busy and smile a lot. Weekend availability is a must.

Work in an unusual retail environment with views that go on for miles. Yes, we sell t-shirts, but we also sell fabulous local crafts, area relevant books and quality souvenirs. Previous retail or customer service experience please.

Retail Responsibilities

Ticket Sales Associate

Our Ticketing Team is usually the first to greet guests and we pride ourselves on our hospitality and knowledge. Of course, we process admissions but more than that, we share our enthusiasm for the incredible place we work. Ticket Sales Associate Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, helping them to feel welcome, valued and informed.

• Process payments, passes and group admissions with accuracy and integrity.

• Serve as an essential communicator for the Park.

Trail Guide/Naturalist

We are looking for dynamic seasonal Trail Guide/Naturalists to join our team. Our ideal candidates have environmental education training, basic animal husbandry experience, enjoy delivering excellent customer service and have a passion for the outdoors. WFR or CPR certifications a plus!

Trail Guide/Naturalist Responsibilities

• Hike trails and provide roving interpretation.

• Provide basic (but excellent) animal husbandry.

• Provide initial emergency response.

• Deliver exceptional customer service.

Maintenance/Guest Services Associate

Excel at this job if you like variety, people, and fresh air. Spend the day landscaping, parking cars, and greeting guests. Help us keep the park clean and showcase nature’s beauty. Maintenance and landscaping skills a plus. Great work ethics a must.

Maintenance/Guest Service Responsibilities

• Mowing and trimming of turf areas

• Mulching and planting

Seasonal Restaurant – Front and Back of House

Our Old Rock Café is a casual restaurant on the banks of the Rocky Broad River and is a part of beautiful Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park. We specialize in freshly made food and happy customers. What are you looking for in a job? Great hours? A fun, established team? Small town friendliness? Beautiful nature right outside the door? Back of House (Cook) Responsibilities

• Help prep and prepare fast, fun food

• Demonstrate cleanliness and proper food handling skills

• Communicate with the kitchen staff and help assure proper plating

• Deliver food to tables
