The Software and Telematics team is looking for an energetic, organized, and passionate Data Analyst Intern to join our growing team. Our mission in the Software and Telematics’ team is to improve safety and increase productivity for business owners, fleet managers, and drivers by delivering innovative purpose-built solutions using vehicle, business, and 3rd party data. This allows Mullen to help our customers attain their sustainability goals and digitally transform their business simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

The Data Engineer intern is responsible to provide support in building the next-gen Mullen data platform. In this role you will be integral part of building solutions such as automated big-data pipelines and data integration products, analytic data models and workloads, data visualization solutions, and supporting advanced analytics use cases. The Data Engineer reports into the Software and Telematics organization led by the Director of Software and Telematics.

More specifically,

· Support designing, building, and maintaining high performing batch and real-time data pipelines and data models with a focus on downstream data quality and rock-solid product.

· Collaborating with architected data solutions to support big data and advanced analytics workloads.

· Profile and analyze large and complex datasets from disparate sources using database and statistical tools and techniques.

· Working with engineering to understand requirements and implement in Mullen platform

· Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.

· Participating in peer reviews and quality assurance activities.

Basic Qualifications:

· BS, MS or Senior currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science

· A demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts and systems to other technical people, non-technical people, and the executive team.

· Experience with AWS and/or Azure.

· Some proficiency with at least one data analysis language (R, Python), at least one at least one SQL language, BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Grafana to extract, transform, publish and visualize/present to deliver solutions quickly and efficiently

· Work in fast-paced environment

· Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

· Innovative self-starter
