Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist / Benefits & Payroll is responsible for a wide variety of human resources activities, but specializes in benefits, compensation, payroll, HRIS, and health/safety. This position is responsible for creating and revising Human Resource procedures and programs, responding to employee inquiries, and – most importantly – interacting with employees in a way that promotes a positive employee experience.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Benefits administration for all new, existing, and outgoing employees, including updating employee information, providing support to employees, and leading renewals and open enrollment.
  • Benchmark benefits and make recommendations for changes and improvements.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll in iSolved
  • Optimize HRIS system and processes; analyze and organize data into meaningful information
  • Responsible for 401K administration, including distribution and year-end compliance.
  • Responsible for compliance reporting including EEO, OSHA, mandatory postings, et cet.
  • Initiates and maintains injury and illness reports and manages workers compensation claims
  • Active member of Environmental Health & Safety team
  • Lead efforts to measure employee engagement through third-party services.
  • Lead employee activities team to coordinate efforts for company parties, celebrations, and events.
  • Maintain all employee personnel records
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on human resources policies and procedures
  • Provide input and assist with the HR planning process to align with SilcoTek’s strategic plan; support process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide input in budget management and strategic planning initiatives
  • Provide input and assist HR team members with other human resources functions as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial / Organizational Psychology or related field.

2 years of experience required. Additional experience accepted in lieu of degree.

SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

Work is typically performed in an office environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
