Full or part time, entry-level position for a student currently enrolled in a NAAB accredited professional degree program in Architecture able to collaborate with peers during all phases of the design delivery process and perform basic architectural assignments. This individual needs to be self-motivated and work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment. It is expected that this individual will provide support to the design team in generating quality documents that will be used for design, permitting, bidding and construction. This position will report to the Director of Architecture.
In this role you will:
- Assist in the preparation of design documents and presentations for small projects or selected segments of a larger project.
- Assist in preparing design layouts and features that require researching, compiling, and recording information for assigned project work.
- Assist in performing code and material research as needed on the project.
- Visit job sites to compile measurements as necessary to verify or complete architectural designs.
- Transfer two- and three-dimensional graphic studies into Revit as needed to for project setup and coordination purposes.
- Generate presentation graphics from hand sketches utilizing various 3D software including, but not limited to Revit, Photoshop, Lumion and SketchUp.
- Assist in the research and compiling of product data relating to materials and methods for a given project.
- Research and review building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs.
- Obtain and assemble data to assist in completing architectural designs, visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary.
- Aide in drawing rough and detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings and structures, based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
- Assist architect on construction site, ensuring builder compliance with design specifications and advising on design corrections, under architect's supervision.
- Analyze procedures and instructions to be followed, according to design specifications and quantity of required materials.
- Reads and understands technical drawings, schematics, and other relevant reports.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Actively enrolled in a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture or 4-year Bachelor of Design program. Junior or senior year students are preferred.
- General computer knowledge and basic Revit skills.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Must be proficient in use of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel). Proficiency with MS Project and business development/CMS software is beneficial.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in healthcare architecture is a plus.
- Previous experience in an architectural office setting.
This position will require occasional travel to attend client meetings and conduct site visits.
