CompDrug is seeking a Licensed Therapist to join our new Partial Hospitalization Team. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in mental health and complex trauma care and will develop and grow our PHP programming. The successful candidate will collaborate with other therapists, clinical leadership and medical and operational staff members to develop a patient-centered program offering additional community care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Works with clinical department leadership in developing programing based on empirically supported processes of change and evidenced based treatment interventions. These include integration of the following treatment processes: CBT, DBT, Relapse Prevention, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Short-Term Psychodynamic interventions. Art Therapy and Equine Therapy may be utilized as adjunct interventions.
  • With guidance from clinical department leadership, maintains, tracks, and reviews designated clinical outcome measures.
  • Maintains communication with referral sources.
  • Coordinates patient psychological evaluations and follows-up with the referring clinician. Ensures tracking and documentation pre-post measures of patient improvement.
  • Ensures timely documentation in EHR for all patients admitted program, all terminations, all attendance records, and patient progress.
  • Develops themes and corresponding topic schedule to ensure continuity of care.

Certification and License Requirements:
  • LPC or LSW Strongly Preferred
  • LCDC II Required

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a clinical environment with a mental health focus.
  • Successful experience leading group, developing group topics and themes.
  • Previous experience as counselor in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, therapeutic community or other long-term intensive treatment setting strongly preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of mental health and its relationship to substance abuse.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds, as coworkers, in a counselor-patient situations and as a representative of CompDrug to external partners, in sometimes stressful situations.
  • Solid de-escalation and critical thinking skills.
