Seeking full/part time bookkeeper/office assistant to perform a variety of tasks for a small but busy construction company (24-32hrs per week). Candidate must be reliable, organized, efficient, self motivated, able to multi task, honest, & punctual. The candidate must have be proficient in QuickBooks Desktop Pro, contractor billing experience a must and strong communication skills. Must have an active Notary.
Responsibilities:
Maintain general ledger in QuickBooks
Accounts payable/Accounts Receivable
Contract documents including certificate of insurance, lien waivers, ocip/ccip
Prepare documents for review for insurance/union audits
Coordinate payroll through third party payroll company
Prepare client invoices, AIA payment request.
Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts in a timely manner
File monthly union benefit reports
Experience in basic HR support
Answering phones
Strong attention to detail
Ability to self manage & prioritize
Data Entry of field reports
Requirements:
Proven accounting experience
Must be proficient in QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Microsoft office & have strong Excel skills & Google Docs.
Experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
Well organized with willingness to perform various filing and record keeping tasks
Small office with 1 -3 people at a time no walk-ins
**Ideal candidate must have experience in the construction industry related to office tasks i.e.. AIA forms, certified payroll, OCIP/CCIP insurance filings, Lien waivers, reporting union benefits monthly.
