Goodhue Boat Company is growing, and we are looking for smart, motivated, and dedicated people to join the team! We have an immediate opening for a full-time Marine Service Manager. This position is a great way to grow professionally with Goodhue Boat Company.
Management Responsibilities:
· Schedule and assign jobs to technicians and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of work.
· Coordinate with parts department to acquire parts needed to complete jobs
· Increase technician efficiency through performance monitoring, coaching, and process improvement.
· Process warranty claims.
· Praise, reprimand, and reward technicians as appropriate.
· Increase revenue through proper billing procedures, upselling opportunities, and overall effective management of processes.
· Ensure technicians are using safe work techniques.
· Require and enforce that work areas are neat, clean, and orderly.
· Schedule and monitor technician training, as necessary.
· Ensure service work quality is superior to that of our competition.
· Train new Service Advisors and Asst. Service Managers and manage training for all service technicians and entry-level service technicians.
· Manage and schedule Service Technicians, Service Advisors and Asst. Service Manager.
· Help set and monitor monthly profitability goals.
· Reinforces company policies and adheres to company standards.
· Encourages compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
· Work with Rentals Manager, Sales Manager and General Manager to make sure rental boats and sales boats are prepped, repaired and serviced when needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
Customer Care Responsibilities:
· Consult and sell services that are applicable to the type of boat and customer’s needs.
· Make sure Service Advisors are providing customers with a schedule of work, updates, and any changes that may occur.
·Handle and assist with customer issues.
· Finalize and invoice work orders, when necessary.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of 5 years marine service manager experience, preferred.
· Excellent customer service and phone skills.
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Critical thinking skills.
· Marine parts and services knowledge, necessary.
· Intermediate computer skills.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
· Experience with Lightspeed EVO, preferred.
· Previous experience using SpeedyDock is a plus.
· Ability to work in a team environment.
· Ability to be a strong leader.
Education:
· · Minimum of High School degree or equivalent
Salary:
· $65,000-$85,000 per year
· Year-round, full-time position
