What we are looking for:
Tripoint Solutions is seeking a Junior Software Developer located in AL or MS.
The Junior Software Developer is primarily responsible for maintaining software and security updates, monitoring server activity and ensuring the availability of client/server applications, and designing and installing new server implementations as needed. You will work with a team dedicated to full life-cycle software development and should be able to design, develop, and troubleshoot programs. This individual will work under the guidance of the Service Delivery Manager.
This position is key in software development and analysis. A successful candidate should have knowledge of a wide range of physical and virtual server maintenance and implementation processes, to include database development, Java, JavaScript and PL/SQL
Location: Remote; The selected candidate must be currently located in MS or AL. Some travel may be required as part of gaining and maintaining access to federal IT systems.
The successful candidate will be accountable to:

HTML/JavaScript UI through Java back-end

Database development

Manage WebLogic and Apache components running on the Unix server

Validation and verification of systems following maintenance

Monitoring server activity and ensuring the availability of client/server applications

Implement secure, efficient code for existing software
-
Provide technical support and collaborate in an Agile environment
-
Developing unit test cases
-
Serve as tier 3 helpdesk support

Occasional after-hours support
What you bring:
Experience, Education & Training:
-
Bachelor’s degree in an IT field
-
CompTIA Security+ or CASP+ Certification or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire

1-3 years of experience in software development
-
Familiar with database development, and multiple programming languages to include Java, JavaScript and PL/SQL
-
Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Cloud environments
-
Experience using tools to include Jira, Git and IDEs
-
Ability to interpret customers requirement specifications
-
Ability to work in a team or independently

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Attention to detail
-
Strong communicator, both verbal & written; technical writing experience a plus
Clearance Requirements:
