Con-Vey is a fast-paced custom equipment manufacturing company. We are looking for an energized accounting professional to help grow with our company. Con-Vey does business nationally and internationally from our facilities in Roseburg, Oregon.

Accountant I Duties include:

• Cost accountant duties including setting up of projects and sales orders in the ERP system. Monitor projects continually for accuracy and relevance

• Maintaining cost allocations on work orders & sales order, assuring accurate cost of materials and labor transactions

• Assist with labor and payroll

• Assess cost of materials, labor, and other various business expenses for probability and cost benefit analysis

• Perform variance analysis per work orders and on projects

• Reviewing and auditing contract terms, orders and other related documents involving accounting

• Apply accounting principles to record financial information

• Assist accounts receivable

• Analyze General Ledger Accounts

• Prepare and post journal entries

• Analysis of financial information including but not limited to: Assets, liabilities, capital, WIP, revenue, etc

• Help with the preparation of monthly/yearly financial statements

• Assist with Net income analysis and forecast

• Involved in process and accounting system improvements which includes writing and updating standard operating procedures

• Monitor certain performance metrics and provide internal reporting

• Develop an in-depth understanding of accounting processes and system

• Investigate nuances or problems with sub-ledger or general ledger postings

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred

• Associates degree considered with experience

• Adhere to GAAP reporting standards

• Tech savvy/computer literate with experience with High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc a must)

• Organized, efficient and high attention to detail

• The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

• Experience with Visual or other ERP software is a plus

• Desire to work as part of a team but also be self-motivated as circumstances dictate

• Willingness to perform tasks outside the scope of job description

• Ability to pass background check
