Computer Programmer iSeries, AS400

We are seeking qualified candidates for the full-time position of Computer Programmer at our corporate office in Elk Grove, CA. Position Description:

Not Remote. In our Elk Grove, CA Corporate office. Programming on IBM iSeries, AS400 for interactive and batch applications. Including maintenance of two, in-house developed ERP systems, and the development of new applications, interfaces and reports. Working with existing code, and creating new programs, to support various systems in our multiple partition environment.

Job Duties:

• CL and RPG programming on IBM iSeries, AS400
• Application design, coding, and testing
• Module and system level testing of developed programs
• Preparation of end user documentation
• Develop and implement modifications and improvements to existing systems
• Provide support for multiple projects simultaneously
• Be a resource for end user Q&A, problems, and functional resolution
• Develop ad-hoc SQL scripts to research and analyze data questions

Required skills:

• iSeries
• AS400
• RPG
• Five years RPG programming experience ILE, IV or Free
• Must be conversant in embedded SQL
• Analytical problem solving skills for projects
• Module and system level development and testing
• Very good English written and oral skills

Other:

• Knowledge of COBOL is a plus

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
