Tyler Pipe & Coupling in Marshfield, MO is seeking an Engineering Manager to join our team!

General Function-

Under direction of the General Manager, responsible for developing, maintaining, and continually improving business systems and teams necessary for achieving company goals and objectives. This position is a leadership role for the engineering functions of Tyler Pipe & Coupling in Marshfield, MO.

Duties-

1. Expected to uphold, defend, train and coach the principles of The McWane Way.

2. Responsible for setting engineering goals and objectives with engineering team.

3. Responsible for alignment and achievement of goals and objectives.

4. Ensures all processes meet or exceed Safety and quality standards.

5. Plan, review, support, conduct, and assist in driving the value stream mapping process to move from the current state to the future state processes based on the strategic goals and objectives.

6. Assist in the research, determination, composition, and evaluation of capital appropriation requests (including payback and net present value analysis) for acquiring new equipment, tooling, materials, and other resources needed to support and offer solutions to resolve problems. This includes supporting emerging and existing technologies.

7. Ability to handle and lead multiple projects and events that result in attaining objectives and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

8. Apply continuous improvement techniques to eliminate waste and deliver products to customers' expectations through process improvement activities. Such as determining the best utilization of equipment, facilities, material flow, business process flow and personnel. Investigate and troubleshoot technical problems.

9. Demonstrate understanding the source(s) of variation and implementing methods such as Six Sigma to reduce variation in processes.

10. Ability to manage new product or product line introduction through change management.

11. Has a basic understanding of MRP/ERP systems with the ability to evaluate and make recommendations on materials strategies based on the strategic directions of the facility.

12. Ability to conduct training, such as Lean Six Sigma, and provide continuous improvement guidance and technical support to leaders and employees at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

1. Candidate should have a minimum bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or process Engineering from an accredited institution.

2. 5 years minimum experience in manufacturing, preferably in a leadership role.

3. Leadership and effective communication skills, written and verbal, are required.

4. Candidate should have the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time with little direction.

5. The candidate must demonstrate an ability to work with various functions in a manufacturing and non-manufacturing environment.

6. Candidate should have sound knowledge of engineering and design principles and know how to put this knowledge into action.

7. Candidate should readily utilize problem-solving techniques, lean principles, and Six Sigma. Data Mining and other process improvement tools to improve process efficiency.

8. Candidate should be able to handle ambiguity and fluid situations and have a flexible mindset.

9. Understanding cost savings and other basic accounting techniques to drive and capture cost savings and initiatives.

10. Preferred Lean and Operational-Excellence expertise.

11. Proficient in AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Microsoft Office Products.

Education-

Broad knowledge in the technical field of mechanical engineering responsibilities. Equivalent to a college or university degree.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
