About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time position that requires strong experience with FreeBSD and some experience in networking. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software in a secure environment
• Work with other members of the development team to ensure project success
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues
• Collaborate with teammates to understand project requirements and provide solution
• Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities

Skills

• Master’s degree and 6 years of IT experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of IT experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Strong experience with FreeBSD and network programming
• Some experience in C or C++
• Proficiency in Python, Javascript, HTML/CSS, Bash, SQL
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Knowledgeable on fundamental networking concepts
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with firewalls, routing and switching, CCNA level networking
• Ability to troubleshoot routing and switching issues in a LAN environment
• OPERATING SYSTEMS: Unix, Linux
• HARDWARE: Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls
• DoD Top Secret Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship is required

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
