Position:

The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level. The HR Generalist partners with managers and employees in all phases of human resource activities. This position will have responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment, leave administration, performance management, benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, and employee programs.

Job Description:

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.
  • Administers all aspects of leave programs. Interprets and administers leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, etc.)
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
  • Conducts recruitment efforts at staff level. Coordinates with hiring manager to determine best recruiting process for position. Reviews, screens and interviews potential candidates. Provide organizational information to attract and retain the best hires. Create audience specific content and make sure they are promoted in the right channels.
  • Conduct pre- and post-employment activities to include activities such as new employee orientation and exit interviews
  • Coordination of the Pace International summer intern program
  • Assist in the administration of the salary and performance appraisal programs including reporting and follow-up with supervisors
  • Performs benefit administration. Reviews benefits with employees at hire and functions as an ongoing resource for employees. Coordinates and manages annual open
  • Enrollment communication and election process. Efficiently manage internal and external resources to ensure goals are met.
  • Coordinates employee events and recognition programs.
  • Coach, counsel and guide leaders in employee relations. Investigate and respond to employee issues to ensure timely resolution. Prepare documentation and report on investigative activities.
  • Assist with other Human Resource department projects as assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR required

Physical Demands:

  • A majority of time is spent sitting
  • Some standing and walking may be necessary but are not essential to performing the jobresponsibilities
  • Simultaneous movement of hands, wrists, and fingers is an important element to this position

  • There is some exposure to noise
