Job Description :

We are looking for a competent Pharmacist who will ensure the rational and effective use of medication. A pharmacist is well-versed in pharmaceutical therapy. You must be a team player and an excellent communicator. Dependability and diligence will make you an integral part of direct patient care. The goal is to provide effective medication management for the correct treatment and prevention of illness.

Sign ON Bonus - $60k

Responsibilities (*but are not limited to*)

  • Process incoming new prescriptions, refills, and transfer requests
  • Ensure accuracy, safety, and efficacy of dispensed prescriptions through thorough drug utilization review, interpretation of physician orders, and prescription verification.
  • Contribute to providing timely quality care through collaborating and assisting the team in tasks as needed, including answering phones, counting prescriptions, checking out prescriptions, and any other functions required to provide quality care and service.
  • Organize and direct pharmacy workflow to provide the highest level of quality care and service.
  • Act as the manager on duty, supervise ancillary pharmacy staff engaged in preparing, packaging, and labeling prescriptions. Organize and direct technicians' work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Initiate prior authorization requests and resolves medication billing problems with insurance providers.
  • Promote patient awareness and understanding of their medication regimen
  • Collaborate with Prescribers and clinical staff to improve health outcomes and safety
  • Recommends and administers vaccines
  • Review records of patients to determine the appropriateness of medication therapy
  • Consult on dosages, medication substances etc.
  • Advise on the correct administration of drugs
  • Assess the results of pharmaceutical treatments
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
  • Keep accurate documentation of medication plans and patient progress
  • Medication check and prescription verification.

Skills

  • Excellent understanding of pharmaceutical therapy and direct patient care
  • Solid knowledge of drug administration and health & safety guidelines
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Team player with outstanding communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Aptitude in problem-solving and decision-making
  • Strong professional ethics

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
