Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer to lead and support new product development. Experience with ARM Cortex-M firmware development, wireless communications, and algorithm design preferred.

Relevant Experience

• Requires design skills in embedded systems and microcontroller development using C.
• Requires experience with driver development, especially SPI, UART, ISM radios, DMA, and advanced timers.
• Requires experience with object-oriented Python
• JTAG debugging, protocol analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Experience designing communication protocols.
• Experience with RTOS, TCP/IP Networking, and Database design desirable
• Experience with ST Micro STM32 desirable
• Works closely with other senior engineers and shares responsibility for the design and adherence to specification, cost, budget, and schedule goals. Team focused.
• Is responsible for several project leadership activities and project documentation
• Works closely with customers to understand equipment & system requirements to ensure products work in the applications
• Is responsible to diagnose issues of complex scope with design, field performance, and reliability in mind

Work Environment:

• Standard office environment and fast-paced lab; utilizing standard office and lab equipment
• Minimum travel may be needed to support remote sites and customers

Experience:

• Five plus years of engineering experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
• Graduate coursework towards an advanced degree in engineering or science desirable, but not required
